Rugs from our archives

Just recently we went into our photo archives and picked some post modern geometrics to show you. As we get more photos digitalized we will post them, please excuse some quality issues with the photos, the are 40 to 50 years old.  

Work begins

We have started to hook the rug, using some additional shades for a beautiful flow of colors.  We are using a subtle change in colors to show an underlying border 8 inches in from the outer  reddish border.  There is a strike off of the finished rug also shown.

Start of a new rug project

I have been hand dying wool yarn for our new rug.  The rug will measure about 12×15 and will take 90lbs of wool, the following image are some of the colors used.  I will post new images as the rug takes shape.

Our first blog entry for The Ruggery, and we have great news! One of our rugs was featured in the April issue of House Beautiful under “American Icons.”  We’re thrilled!  “Sun Burst” was one of the first geometric rugs designed by George Wells and has become a modern classic.
